COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Old Man Winter has not given up yet. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Branch County in effect from 1:00 a.m. Tuesday to 1 a.m. Wednesday.
A wintry mix of freezing rain and snow is expected to develop overnight and continue into Tuesday. Precipitation is expected to change to all snow by early Tuesday afternoon. Total snowfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible across Michigan while 1 to 3 inches are possible in northern Indiana by Tuesday evening. Ice accumulations of up to a tenth of an inch are also possible. Light precipitation is expected late Monday night from near the Indiana and Michigan state line northward. Precipitation is expected to expand further into Indiana toward or shortly after daybreak Tuesday.
