COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Parks Board is taking the first step in possibly expanding the county’s Angel Cove Campground near Craig Lake. The board will hold a public hearing Thursday, March 3 at 9:00 a.m. to get public input on the possible purchase of 4.1 acres adjacent to the campground on the Coldwater River.
There is an April 1, 2016 deadline for the county to apply for a Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund grant to help pay for the possible purchase.
Angel Cove Campground currently has 110 lots on six acres. If the campground is expanded, it would allow for additional lots, as well as the possibility of cabins.
The public hearing will be held at the Branch County Road Commission office on on Garfield Road.
