BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Community Schools Board of Education is scheduled to fill an open administrative position during Monday night’s meeting.
One of the agenda items is the hiring of Laurie Doner as the new Principal at Ryan Elementary School.
The position has been open since Kristen Frisbie stepped down on April 14 after some parents complained about conditions at the school. Her resignation was formally accepted by the school board in May.
A group of Ryan Elementary students volunteered their time to take part in the interview process.
Still to be filled is the opening in the principal’s office at Bronson Junior/Senior High School. The position was posted on line last Monday and applications will be accepted through July 28.
After being hired last October, John Herbert announced on May 19 that he would be leaving the district to pursue an opportunity in the ministry field.
Meanwhile, Curriculum Coordinator and Director of Grants Kate Wall is serving as the district’s Interim Superintendent after the Board of Education accepted Steve Wilson’s resignation as part of a separation agreement last month.
There is no posting of the Superintendent’s job on the Bronson Community School’s web site.
