QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – A rash of gas station armed robberies in the area continues with the latest happening last night in Branch County in the Village of Quincy. The Lightning Quick Gas-N-Go on U.S. 12 , or West Chicago Street near Grand Boulevard was held up around 7:30 p.m.
Village police say a lone male entered the business armed with a hand gun and ordered the women behind the counter to turn over the money she had. The bandit took a small amount of cash and fled on foot and was tracked by a Michigan State Police K-9 to a location where according to a news release he left the area in a vehicle. There were no customers at the station when the crime happened.
The suspect, who remains at large, was described as a man wearing black clothes and a ski mask and was 5-7 to 5-9 in height with a medium build.
No one has been arrested in connection with armed robberies in early January at Admiral Stations in Coldwater and Sturgis as well as at the Shell Spee-D-Mart in Angola, Indiana on February 7, 2016.
