COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With the Shoppers Guide ending publication earlier this year, Coldwater Community Schools had to change the way they were distributing information for the start of the 2023-2024 school year.
Building-specific information will be linked on the district’s web site which is www.coldwaterschools.org as it becomes available.
A Transportation Open House for all elementary families will be held next Monday, August 14, from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon and from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Lakeland Elementary School.
This event will help the transportation department and buildings gather necessary information prior to the school year. Parents are asked to attend even if you are not using CCS transportation, as you can get registered for curbside service pick-up for the 2023-24 school year. At the open house, you will learn your child’s bus number and bus stop location.
Coldwater Community Schools will continue to use ZONAR for transportation, which includes GPS location devices and ZPass, which is a way to keep track of the students who ride on Coldwater Community Schools buses. This will help our transportation department keep attendance of those students each day.
Your child will receive their ZPass. It is required to ride Coldwater Community Schools transportation to and from school. A student will not be allowed to ride after three consecutive days without a ZPass.
If you have any questions, feel free to call (517) 279-5950.
Open houses will be held on Tuesday, August 15 from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at Legg Middle School and from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Coldwater High School.
The open houses next Wednesday, August 16 will be at Max Larsen from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m., at Jefferson from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. and at Lakeland from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m..
The first day of classes is scheduled for Monday, August 21.
