UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Sheriff’s Department deputies and Michigan State Police were called to the Village of Union City yesterday afternoon to assist village police with an incident surrounding a reported problem concerning a man with a gun in a home. The situation at 320 Calhoun Street started around 4:20 p.m. and before long, the police decided it would be best to block any traffic from entering Calhoun Street as a precaution until the matter was resolved.
Officers were eventually able to enter the residence in question and shortly before 6 p.m., the subject inside was peacefully escorted out of the house. There’s no word on the exact nature of the incident pending a possible news release from authorities in Union City.
