COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – While work continues on U.S. 12 and the Coldwater River bridge on the west side of Coldwater and the Butters Avenue reconstruction project is scheduled to start next week, street milling and paving projects continue.
City Manager Keith Baker told the City Council on Monday night that work on Western Avenue between Bishop and Hatch was finished over the weekend.
That was good news for students, parents and staff of Lakeland Elementary and Legg Middle School as open houses are scheduled for this week and the first day of school is set for next Monday.
Next up will be work in the Northshore and Arrowhead neighborhoods.
Baker also reported on Monday night the Department of Municipal Services is doing renovation work in the Parkhurst Park restrooms.
In addition, an adjacent storage building at Parkhurst Park has been demolished.
