WASHINGTON, DC (WTVB) – Tomorrow is this year’s deadline for signing up for healthcare coverage for this year under the Affordable Care Act, or as it is more popularly known, “Obamacare”.
Computers make it possible to set a Sunday deadline for a government program. Anyone who is eligible, who doesn’t sign up, may be subject to a $695 dollar fine on next year’s tax bill. Amy Terry, a southwest Michigan enrollment coordinator of Enroll suggests you don’t wait until tomorrow to try to get enrolled because the system often crashes in the last crush. She says just because you are healthy today, there is no guarantee you won’t get hit by a bus or catch some chronic disease tomorrow.
