QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – A pedestrian was injured in downtown Quincy on Thursday afternoon after she was struck by a turning vehicle.
Michigan State Police say the woman had the right of way in the crosswalk when she was struck at about 4:40 p.m..
They say the female driver of the vehicle that hit her was making a left turn and failed to observe the pedestrian.
The driver was cited by the State Police for failure to yield.
The injured pedestrian was taken to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital for treatment of pain to the lower extremities.
State Police were assisted by the Quincy Fire Department, Life Care Ambulance and the Branch County Sheriff’s Department.
