COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A 24-year-old man from Coldwater was stabbed and a 38-year-man from Indiana was taken into custody Saturday afternoon.
Coldwater Police think a road rage incident led to the stabbing which was reported at about 2:39 p.m. in the area of East Chicago Street near the southbound on-ramp to I-69.
Dispatch received reports of a unknown injury accident, a stabbing victim, and possible shots fired.
Officers say the man from Coldwater had two stab wounds. He was treated for his injuries at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
It was discovered after an investigation no shots were fired during the incident.
No names have been released. Coldwater Police were assisted by the Branch County Sheriff’s Office, the Coldwater Fire Department, and Life Care ambulance service.
The suspect is expected to be arraigned on Monday afternoon in Branch County District Court.
