COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Community Schools Superintendent Terry Whelan says the district currently has 11 bus runs that do not have drivers for Monday and Tuesday as there are bus drivers and aides who are not available to drive because they are either COVID-19 positive or are having to quarantine due to being a close contact to a COVID-19 positive person.
Whelan says they are going to pick up and deliver all students that are on the buses that can still run.
If your student was a close contact you will be notified and they will have to quarantine. If you don’t hear from the district, your child was not considered a close contact.
At this time, Whelan says they are asking for help from parents in getting their children to school on Monday and Tuesday of this week. She adds,“We understand that not all families will have this ability and we are truly sorry how this pandemic is impacting our families.”
The following buses will not be running Monday or Tuesday for both secondary and elementary runs:
Bus #24, Bus #22, Bus #44, Bus #47, Bus #11, Bus #4, Bus #21, Bus #28, Bus #46, Bus #17, and Bus #19 (currently using Bus #26).
