BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Varsity Volleyball team went 4-3 on Saturday at Battle Creek Central during the Annual Cereal City Tournament. The Cards defeated Battle Creek Central by winning 25-11 in both sets. They then played Calhoun Christian and won 25-12, 25-11. Next up was a strong, ranked Bedford team where CHS lost 15-25 and 16-25. This placed Coldwater second in their pool and into the Gold Bracket where they lost in the Quarter Finals to Battle Creek Lakeview 21-25, 16-25.

Coldwater’s record is now 6-3-2. They play again on Tuesday at Portage Central for a Quad.
The Coldwater Freshman Volleyball team won the Silver Division at Portage Northern on Saturday by defeating Loy Norrix 25-16 and 25-21. Isabelle Angevine led the team at the service line on the day with five aces and 100% accuracy. Julianna Cowles led the team in assists and TK Boyd led the team in kills. The Cardinals now have a record of 1-6-4 and will play again Tuesday August 29th as they host a quad.
