Patrick Lee “Rick” Stauffer, 57 of Willis, TX, passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 18, 2023 at Jennie M. Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow, NE.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson, MI with Pastor Kim Cole officiating. Interment will follow the service at Matteson Cemetery in Bronson, MI.
The family will receive guests for visitation Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.
Rick was born January 7, 1966, to Charles and Judie (Pierce) Stauffer in Coldwater, MI, but was raised and brought up by Joe (Judie) Jacobs where he spent a majority of his life in Coldwater, MI until moving to Willis, TX. September 3, 2005, Patrick married Cheryl A. Barrick at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Coldwater and she survives.
Rick was a talented tradesman that worked various careers in manufacturing, fabricating, welding, and ultimately with Bullock Construction. He and Cheryl attended both the Cowboy Church and Church of the Holy Spirit. Rick participated in many motorcycle benefit rides to serve his community; among his favorite rides were those with the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Organization, the POW MIA, and especially the Sturgis Toy Run.
He was an avid outdoorsman where he enjoyed hunting, motorcycle rides, golfing, scuba diving, and fixing cars. Patrick also liked working out and playing guitar with his friends and relatives for their many gatherings, but his greatest passion of all was his family. He will be dearly missed as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and cherished brother and friend.
In addition to his wife Cheryl, Rick leaves behind his children Chasity Atchley of Coldwater, Matthew Stauffer of Union City, Joshua Stauffer of Coldwater; his siblings James (Jeri) Stauffer of Thompson, GA, Patricia Stauffer of Santa Rosa, FL; his grandchildren Kalise, Amiya, Kaylin, Kenadee, Jada, Mayce, Morgenn, Sophia, Kaycenn, Jayce, Blake, Kolton; his loving nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs Leia and Lilibet.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his father Joe Jacobs, his brother Robert Stauffer and his grandparents.
Memorial donations are suggested to the family.
