BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Playing their fourth game in four days, the Coldwater High School boys varsity soccer team came out flat and was beaten 7-0 at Battle Creek Lakeview Tuesday night.
The Spartans scored the first goal of the game with 14:42 to play in the first half, then tacked on three in the first half, then three more in the second half, outshooting Coldwater 21-5 for the game.
Franky Ramos made three saves in goal in the firstvhalf and Mohamed Alammari made five in the second half.
The Cardinals to 3-4 on the season. They are off until September 7 when they will host Vicksburg.
The Coldwater junior varsity team beat Lakeview 4-1 on goals from Sebastian O’Campo, Essam Ahmed, Nasser Abdullah, and Rene Rodriguez. Ahmed Norman had two assists and Alex Martinez made four saves in goal.
Also in boys soccer on Tuesday night, Bronson defeated Vermontville Maple Valley 6-1. It was the first win for a Bronson boys soccer team since September 11, 2020.
