COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A power outage that affected a large number of Coldwater Board of Public Utility customers lasted for a couple of hours early Monday evening.
The outage was reported at about 5:45 p.m.
Coldwater B.P.U. Director Jeff Budd says the outage was caused by equipment failure at their substation which is located at State and Michigan Avenue.
There was an earlier unconfirmed report that a fallen tree was the cause but Budd says that was not the case.
CBPU crews made repairs at the substations where the issue originated from and power was restored just before 8:00 p.m.
