COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A local partnership has been announced between the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities, Biz Aid, and Branch County that will bring better electronics recycling to the area.
Biz Aid Recycling, an indoor drop-off recycling center located in Coldwater, will collect electronics using grant funds from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE).
Households in Branch County can drop off electronics, including televisions and computer monitors, to the recycling center on Saturdays only from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.. The cost is just $5 per visit for most electronics with an additional $5 charge for each television and monitor, limit three per visit.
Biz Aid owner Samantha Buterbaugh says, “We don’t typically take in televisions for recycling and get asked frequently if we do, so we were happy to get this grant that allows us to do so. Anyone in Branch County is able to bring in their televisions or any other electronics on Saturdays for an affordable collection fee until the grant funds are spent.”
Biz Aid is also partnering with CBPU for the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, September 30 at the Branch County Fairgrounds from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. for participating communities.
Biz Aid Recycling is a local, family-owned and operated facility at 90 Darling Drive in Coldwater.
