COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) -A Coldwater native will be honored Saturday at the Tibbits Opera House following his promotion in the U.S. Army.
The public is invited to attend the Colonel Promotion Ceremony for Jason T. Edwards, which will begin at 11:00 a.m. A reception will immediately follow in the lower level.
Edwards is a 1992 graduate of Coldwater High School. He was the keynote speaker during Memorial Day ceremonies in 2016 at Coldwater’s Four Corners Park and Oak Grove Cemetery.
Edwards is a U.S. Army Officer who had been assigned as a National Security Fellow at Harvard University. He was selected to serve as the Installation Commander at Rheinland Pfalz in Germany beginning next July.
Edwards holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science as well as a Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University in Public Administration.
He has received numerous awards and decorations during his Army career.
