COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) -The Coldwater City Council went into a closed session at their meeting Wednesday to discuss strategy with the City Attorney in connection with the pending lawsuit filed by former Coldwater resident Tiffany McNeil over an incident at the Branch County Jail last July.
McNeil claims Coldwater Police Officer Lewis Eastmead slammed her to the floor while she was handcuffed. She says she was knocked unconscious and bloodied by the officers actions.
A video tape of the incident at the jail went viral and the story has been picked up by several national media outlets.
