ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – Two Angola residents were injured on Christmas Day in a Steuben County snowmobile accident.
Indiana Conservation Officers say the accident happened at about 12:40 p.m. at the residence of 40-year-old Chad Straw on County Road 600 West.
He told officers that the passenger on his snowmobile, 31-year-old Kyrie E. Kopf, was unresponsive due to her injuries.
Steuben County E.M.S., The Angola Fire Department and the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department arrived and provided treatment to both of the accident victims.
The Samaritan Helicopter flew Kopf to Parkview Regional Medical Center due to extensive head injuries and Straw was transported to the same hospital by Steuben County E.M.S..
Conservation Officers met with the victims at Parkview and began an investigation at the accident scene.
The investigation into the crash is continuing.
