BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson and Union City cross country teams were in action on Saturday.
Union City won the boys division at the Mendon Invitational with 34 points followed by Kalamazoo Homeschool with 63 points and Hartford with 103. The Chargers had four runners finish in the top six. They were led by Ben Gautsche who won in a time of 17:31.9. Cullen Decker was third, Cohen Burdick was fifth and Noah June was sixth.
Union City finished third in the girls race. Alli Gautsche was fifth with a time of 21:06.3. Skyler Fraley was 8th while Alissa Skirka was 11th.
Bronson took part in the Holly Invitational. Ashlynn Harris won the Division Four girls race with a time of 20:35.2. Lydia Wells was 45th. Bronson did not have enough runners for a team score in the girls race. The boys were seventh in Division Four. Tyler Wilber was the top Bronson finisher as he was 27th with a time of 18:40.4. Kamron Brackett was 31st while Dominic Kiomento was 35th.
