Eileen M. Younce, 94, of Bronson, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023, at (Masonville) LakeHouse Coldwater.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bronson United Methodist Church with Pastor David Elmore officiating. Interment will follow at Bronson Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 25, 2023, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.
Eileen was born September 1, 1929, in Bronson, MI to Emil & Myrtle (Machan) Heimert. She married Ralph R. Younce on December 21, 1947, in Bronson. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1986.
Mrs. Younce worked for the Kirsch Co. in Sturgis and then went to work alongside her husband at the Younce State Farm Agency in Bronson, retiring in 1994 after 20 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Bronson where she taught Sunday School and was active with the United Methodist Women.
Eileen was a Cub Scout leader and enjoyed traveling, playing cards, golfing, snow skiing and bowling in various leagues. She was very active in the lives of her children and especially loved watching her kids and grandchildren’s sporting events.
Eileen is survived by her children Terry Younce of Bronson, Larry Younce of Union City, Gary (Jeanette) Younce of Byron Center, Karla (Roger) Bohacz of Bronson; her brother Lee Richard Heimert of Coldwater; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter Diane Sue, her sister Carol Durden and brother Wayne Heimert.
