COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A kitchen fire caused about $10,000 worth of damage Friday afternoon at a home in the 100 block of North Clay. The fire was reported just after 5 p.m.. The Coldwater Fire Department along with automatic aide from Quincy Fire Department was dispatched to 118 North Clay. Crews extinguished the fire in approximately 10 minutes. Coldwater Fire was also assisted on scene by the Coldwater Police Department, and Lifecare Ambulance. The fire was contained to the kitchen. Investigators say it started from unattended cooking. Crews were on scene for about 45 minutes.
