READING, MI (WTVB) – A motorcyclist was injured Saturday afternoon in a Hillsdale County crash.
The Sheriff’s Office says it happened in the area of Pioneer near Territorial Road.
According to a press statement, the Sheriff’s Department reports 22-year-old Ryan James Elliott of Hillsdale was traveling north on Pioneer on a 2023 BMW motorcycle when he tried to pass multiple vehicles. 70-year-old Anthony Lee Grime of Camden was operating a 2019 GMC Sierra and was trying to turn west onto Territorial when he was struck in the side by Elliott’s motorcycle.
Elliott was transported to Hillsdale Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained. Grime and the passengers in his vehicle were not injured.
Elliott was wearing a helmet and Grimes was wearing his seat belt.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Pioneer Fire and EMS and Reading Emergency Services. The crash is still under investigation.
