COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater School Board formally approved a bond authorizing resolution on Monday night after voters approved a millage and bonding question last month which will lead to the construction of a new fourth and fifth grade building on Western Avenue at the site of the little league diamonds.
Superintendent Terry Boguth said bonding the resolution was for $29,750,000 which was the amount of funding approved by district voters on November 7th.
A special board meeting will be held on February 13th to award the bid on the bonds.
In other business, the board approved the purchase of 512 student Chromebooks at a cost of over $126,000 from CDWG.
They also accepted a gift from local developer Rick Gates who has donated books to all 191 kindergarten students in the district entitled “I’m Going To Give You A Bear Hug” by Caroline Cooney.
