CHARLOTTE, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School boys varsity soccer team picked up their fourth straight shutout victory Saturday, winning at Charlotte 9-0.
Eight different players scored for the Cardinals, as they outshot the Orioles 17-0. Coldwater has outscored their opponents 29-0 in those last four games.
Hisham Ahmed had two goals and two assists Saturday, with single goals from Ezaldeen Ahmed, Laith Musa, Ghaith Musa, Arif Ahmed, Mohammed Abdullah, Umari Umari, and Moshen Umari.
Other assists came from Nabil Saied, Ghaith Musa, Rashed Ahmed, Ezaldeen Ahmed, Laith Musa, and Monther Hossain.
The game ended at halftime on the eight goal mercy rule.
Franky Ramos and Mohamed Alammari shared time in goal, but had to make no saves.
The Cardinals are now 11-5-1 on the season and will play at Parma Western for the Interstate 8 Conference title Tuesday. Coldwater is 5-0 in conference, with Parma Western in second place at 4-1.
They will then close out the regular season at Edwardsburg Thursday and at home against Mattawan Saturday. They will open up post season district play at St. Joseph the following week.
