COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Commissioner Don Vrablic announced during Tuesday’s Commission meeting that the Ovid Township Board on Monday awarded a bid for the construction of a new Township Hall to replace the building which burned down last March.
The project was awarded to Elzinga & Volkers after they had the low bid of the four that were submitted for the project.
Ovid Township Clerk Robbie Omo said the winning bid was $330,000.
The new township hall will be on the site of the old building and Omo says it will very similar except for the installation of security windows.
Construction is scheduled to start in March when the weather breaks and be finished in early July.
