MANCHESTER (Reuters) – British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Wednesday proposed banning younger generations from buying cigarettes, a move which would give the United Kingdom some of the toughest anti-smoking rules in the world.
“A 14-year-old today will never legally be sold a cigarette,” Sunak told the Conservative Party conference of his proposed new rule.
