BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – In recent years, the month of November meant it was winning time for the Bronson Vikings Girls Volleyball program.
The Vikings have won five M.H.S.A.A state titles since 2009 including four in a row between 2015 and 2018.
Bronson earned another Division Three district championship on Thursday night on their home floor as they defeated Reading three games to nothing by scores of 25-22, 25-10, 25-13.
They also avenged a regular season loss in late September when the Rangers handed them their first defeat ever in the Big 8 Conference.
Coach Jean LaClair said, “We had a really good student section, for being in the times that we are. They were fun to have in the gym, I think this was only the 2nd time we have any sort of a student section. We went from having NO spectators at our first tournament to having a decent student section for the district finals….that is fun. Meagan (Lasky) ran a great offense and keeping their blockers off track. and we had some great hustle plays and really picked it up defensively after game 1.”
