COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Williamston, Kentucky woman charged in connection with a I-69 road rage incident last July was sentenced Monday in Branch County Circuit Court, after she entered into a plea agreement with the Branch County Prosecutor’s Office.
50-year-old Tina Miracle was placed on probation for one year and given a suspended jail sentence of three months after she entered guilty pleas to charges of having a loaded weapon in a vehicle and aggravated assault. She received one day of credit in the county jail.
Miracle can not have any alcohol, drugs or weapons during her probation and she must complete an anger management course. She was also ordered to pay $976 in fines and costs.
Eight other counts were dismissed by prosecutors in exchange for her guilty pleas.
Michigan State Police said at the time of the incident that two vehicles were traveling north on I-69 and passed each other several times.
Troopers say Miracle became angry enough to point a handgun at the other vehicle just south of the Branch-Calhoun County line to try and scare the four occupants.
She was in legal possession of the weapon according to investigators. No shots were fired.
Deputies from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department stopped Miracle at I-69 and Michigan Avenue in Marshall Township.
