BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Legg Middle School girls volleyball teams won three of the matches against Bronson that were reported on Monday night.
There was no report provided on the 8th grade A game by either school.
Legg’s 8th grade B team won all three sets against Bronson by scores of 25-11, 25-19, 15-4. Leading servers were Lily Scheidler going 10-11 and 8 aces, Maria Aguirre going 9-10 with 5 aces, Claire Stroup going 7-9 with 6 aces and Lily Reinhackel going 6-6 with 4 aces. Sanessa Cowder had 2 digs and Allison Sherman had 2 digs. Claire Stroup had 4 hits with 3 kills. Brooklyn Nelson had 4 hits with 2 kills.
Legg’s 7th grade A team defeated Bronson two games to one to push there record to 6-7 on the year. Coldwater was led at the service line by Addy Bucklin 13-14 with 6 aces, Avrey Qualls 12-13 with 2 aces, McKenzie Miller 6-7 with 2 aces, Elliette VanWagner 5-7 with 1 ace, Onysti Mitchell 3-4 with 1 ace, Hadley Schabloski 2-2 and Kirah Sloan 1-3 with 1 ace. Hadley Schabloski & McKenzie Miller both had 4 kills to lead Coldwater. In the backrow Addy Bucklin had 4 digs followed by VanWagner & Schabloski with 3 digs and Miller, Qualls, and Julia Trojanowski all with 2 digs.
The 7th grade B team won the first two games against Bronson 26-16, 25-16 before dropping the third game 11-15. Leading the Lady Cards in scoring was Felicity Winright seeing 11/13, 3 aces, Paula Mancera serving 10/12, 1 ace, 4 digs, Cali Mock serving 10/10, 3 aces, 4 digs, Keiara Collins serving 8/10, 3 aces, Keeley Love serving 7/8, 4 aces and Kaitlyn Carter serving 3/4.
