COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – An additional charge has been filed against a man who was arrested November 16, 2017 after he allegedly tried to strangle a female acquaintance at a Jackson Street residence.
44-year-old Brian Michael of Coldwater was arraigned Tuesday in Branch County District Court on a charge of bribing, interfering or intimidating a witness.
Michael is accused by authorities of violating a personal protection order by calling the alleged victim numerous times in an attempt to get the original charges of strangulation and domestic violence dropped.
Bond on the newest charge has been set at $100,000.
Michael was released from the Branch County Jail on the day after the alleged incident after posting a $10,000 bond.
