COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Concerns and recommendations following the recent surge of COVID-19 cases in Branch County has led the City of Coldwater to close the Henry L. Brown Municipal Building and the Robert W. Browne Recreation Center to the public beginning Monday, November 9, until further notice.
Although the offices for the city and the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities are closed to the public, they are fully operational during this time.
It was stated in a news release issued by the city on Friday that the change aims to help safeguard employees who work in essential city operations and utility services and intends to protect the general public as well.
Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker says, “If you have something you usually visit City Hall to do, such as meeting with the City Clerk or applying for a permit, we ask that you do so online or over the phone. We appreciate our resident’s patience and understanding as we transition back into this closure.”
