CENTREVILLE, MI (WTVB) – The McDonald’s restaurant in Centreville will be closing at the end of the month. Employees were informed last week that the Centreville store will close at the end of business on October 31.
The store had a grand re-opening in June of 2019 after it was remodeled.
The Centreville McDonald’s is owned by Jim and Laura Maynard.
They said in a statement, “After 27 years of proudly serving the community, the Centreville McDonald’s located at 22785 M-86 will be closing its doors on October 31, 2023. This decision was not made lightly, and it comes as a result of careful consideration and evaluation of the restaurant’s operations and its ability to meet the evolving needs of its valued customers. The Maynard Family McDonald’s Organization would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Centreville community for their loyalty and patronage throughout the years. McDonald’s restaurants owned and operated by the Maynard family in Southwest Michigan will remain open to ensure the community can still enjoy their favorite McDonald’s meals.”
The Maynards added that the employees impacted by this closure will be offered employment at any other Maynard-owned McDonald’s location in Albion, Battle Creek, Bronson, Coldwater, Hillsdale, Jonesville, Marshall, Quincy, Tekonsha, and White Pigeon.
The Maynard family employs about 700 workers in McDonald’s restaurants across southwest Michigan.
