BROOKLYN, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings finished 15th while three Quincy runners were in the top 60 on Saturday morning at the MHSAA Boys Division Three Cross Country Finals at Michigan International Speedway.
The top finisher for the Vikings was Luis Ortiz as he finished 23rd in his heat and 41st overall out of a field of 250 runners with a time of 17:05.37.
Ashton Wells was 52nd in his heat and 90th overall with a time of 17:36.58.
Aden Hathaway was 69th in his heat and 134th overall as he was clocked in 18:08.97.
Reagan Mayer came in 76th in his heat and 141st overall with a time of 18:14.68.
Ben Thomas Grate was 81st in his heat and 148th overall with a time of 18:18.90.
Three Quincy runners competed as individuals. Jacob Reif barely missed finishing in the top 30 as he was 34th overall after finishing 16th in his heat with a new PR time of 17:01.29. He took almost 20 seconds off of his old PR.
Rhett Reif 21st in his heat and 46th overall with a time of 17:07.93 despite running with a sprained ankle.
Senior Erik Butchart ended his high school career was 26th in his heat and 57th overall with a time of 17:14.63.
