COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A member of the City of Coldwater’s Recreation Board criticized the proposed design of the Rotary Park Project during Monday night’s City Council meeting.
John Parshall said the boat ramp on the east side of the Coldwater River channel should not be moved because of flooding issues on the west side.
Parshall also felt Oak Grove Cemetery should be left alone and that the proposed boat slips on the west side of the river were not a good idea.
The Coldwater City Council approved a contract agreement with the city’s landscape architect PM Blough in May for the Rotary Park Project. The contract between the city and Blough was not to exceed $35,000.
The project is being funded in part by the state’s distribution of sales taxes collected on the sale of cannabis which is included in the city’s 2023-2024 Budget.
Theyn DO NOT CARE what residents think! It is all about them!
Time for Coldwater citizens to voice collective outrage at lack of responsiveness of City Council to valid knowledge, experience and opinions of individuals bringing concerns to Council.
