GILEAD TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Rescue crews had to free a unidentified man from a piece of farm machinery on Tuesday night on Slisher Road in Gilead Township.
Bronson Fire Chief Scott Wilber says his department was dispatched by Branch County Central Dispatch just before 8:00 p.m..
He says fire crews provided medical treatment along with Lifecare Ambulance personnel, extricated the patient’s leg from a grain auger with assistance from several area farmers, and set up a helicopter landing zone.
Wilber says the patient was transported from the scene by West Michigan AirCare and that fire crews were on the scene for an hour and forty-five minutes.
The injured man’s name was not released due to HIPPA laws.
