COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners is expected to take formal action Tuesday on a request to purchase an Assisted Listening System for the District Court courtroom.
District Court Administrator Sarah Collins says the device will make the court A.D.A. compliant in the hearing impaired area.
She said an attorney requested one for a client about a month ago but the court did not have one. Collins contacted the state court administrators office and this is what they suggested.
The cost for the setup and installation of the equipment according to a quote from Business Information Systems will be $2,200.
The money is already in the court’s budget for this purchase.
Collins said while the system will be in the Branch County District Courtroom, it would be available to the other courts.
