COLDWATER. MI (WTVB) – There are more problems at the Robert W. Browne Aquatic Center, after repairs had to be performed to the warm water therapy pool a couple of months ago.
Superintendent Terry Boguth told the Coldwater Community Schools Board of Education this week that a spot has been located in the lap pool. For now, it’s been patched but further measures will have to be taken when the high school swim season is over in February.
The pool will have to be drained at that time to see if there any other problems.
The therapy pool was closed due to a problem with the pool’s plaster surface delaminating, thus making it unusable.
Boguth said the contractor had to re-plaster the pool.
Just like when repairs were made to the therapy pool, Boguth said the company which installed the lap pool would be responsible for repairs since it was under warranty.
