BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The M.H.S.A.A. Girls Volleyball state tournament gets underway on Monday night. Once again this year, Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek will host the state semi-finals and finals on November 16, 17 and 18.
Quincy will face Hudson in the first game of the Division Three district tournament at Jonesville starting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday night followed by Addison against Reading. The Quincy-Hudson winner will take on the host Comets on Wednesday night. The Addison-Reading winner will take on Hillsdale in the other semifinal.
Tekonsha faces Battle Creek St. Philip at around 7:00 p.m. Monday night at the Division Four district hosted by Bellevue with the winner facing Bellevue on Wednesday.
The other Branch County teams won’t play until Wednesday. Coldwater will face Battle Creek Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Division One district hosted by Harper Creek. The host Beavers and Sturgis will play in the opening match of the districts on Monday night. The district finals are set for Friday night.
Union City will face Bronson at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Division Three district hosted by the Chargers at McNett Fieldhouse. White Pigeon will take on Centreville in the opening match of the Union City district on Monday. The winner will face Constantine at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The finals will be on Thursday night.
