COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A vote by the Branch County Board of Commissioners on a resolution approving the sale of the Community Health Center of Branch County to Promedica has been pushed back a few weeks.
Commissioners will now discuss the CHC/Promedica transition resolution at their next work session December 7, 2017.
Commissioner Terri Norris said Administrator Bud Norman is looking into concerns raised by hospital employee Terry LePratt about access to early retirement benefits for 32 hospital workers.
LePratt asked commissioners to turn down the proposed sale.
Commissioners are scheduled to decide December 7 if the resolution should be brought forward to their regular meeting December 12, 2017. It was only an information item during Tuesday’s work session.
