COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker told the City Council Monday night that engineering work is continuing on the Old U.S. 12 bridge over the Coldwater River.
Baker said he just got the first set of plans Monday. He hopes to have a recommendation for the Council at their next meeting November 27, 2017.
The City Council approved a professional services agreement in September with Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr and Huber to prepare bid documents for the removal of the bridge at a cost not to exceed $16,000.
The same firm inspected the bridge this summer and found it was unsafe. It was closed off to pedestrians in late August.
