COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Legg Middle School boys basketball teams swept Jackson Northwest on Tuesday night.
The 8th grade A team beat Northwest 39-36. Trevor Mitchell lead the Cardinals with 15 points, and three assists. Twin brother Travon Mitchell had 10 points and three rebounds. Evan Lewis had eight points and six rebounds, Wayne Case had four points and five rebounds, Jack Aker had a three points and a solid floor game.
The 8th grade B team won 29-16. Javion Wilson led Legg with nine points while Carter Curtis had six points and William Knowland had four points.
The 7th grade A team got their first victory of the season as they defeated Northwest 55-40. Kolton Rice poured in 28 points and had three assists while Liam Doll added 15 points. Caiden Searing grabbed four rebounds.
The 7th grade B team won 23-18. Brody Vanbuskirk led Legg with eight points and five rebounds while Casey Thorton had seven points. Hunter Wagoner and Colton Duke each had four points. Wagoner also grabbed six rebounds.
