COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With COVID-19 cases on the rise in Michigan, Southern Michigan Bank and Trust announced on Wednesday that they will be temporarily closing their lobbies to the public and will only provide drive thru service.
Officials says this will go into effect on Thursday as they try to adhere to recommendations from the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency.
Meetings that are necessary will be accepted by appointment only.
Chair and CEO John Castle says, “Our top priority has been, and will remain the safety and well being of our employees and customers. While the decision has been made to mitigate in-person visits, please know that we will continue to serve our communities as we have throughout the ongoing pandemic.”
When possible, Southern encourages customers to utilize their electronic services, drive-thru locations, PTMs/ATMs, and Telephone Banking products.
