COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A big crowd turned out in downtown Coldwater on Saturday night for the annual Coldwater Christmas Parade.
The weather cooperated for those in the parade and for spectators who lined the sidewalks as the rain held off and temperatures were in the upper 30s.
There were nearly two dozen entries. The 15 minute parade ended with Santa and Mrs. Claus waving to children of all ages.
Former Coldwater Mayor and community supporter Jerry Ford was chosen as the parade Grand Marshal.
Awards were presented for the best floats.
Cole Ford was named the winner of the Buddy Elf Award for most spirited or energetic, the Major Award, which was the judges’ choice, went to El Cunado while Auto-wares group of companies won the Miracle on Chicago Street award for best use of theme.
The theme for this year’s parade was “A Silver Screen Christmas.”
