READING TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department has released the name of the motorcyclist who was killed in a crash last Friday morning on Bankers Road west of South Allen Road north of Reading.
The fatal victim has been identified by the Lenawee Hillsdale County Medical Examiner’s Office as 44-year-old Norman Theodore Barron of Hillsdale.
The Sheriff’s Department said at the time of the crash that Barron was heading west on Bankers Road at about 7:30 a.m. when he struck a concrete bridge, lost control and went off the road before coming to rest in the woods.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Reading Township Fire Department and the Reading Emergency Unit.
An area of Bankers Road and South Allen Road had to be shut down for over three hours due to the investigation into the crash.
