BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – A number of Branch County high school athletic events scheduled for Friday night and Saturday were called off ahead of an anticipated winter storm.
Friday night’s Coldwater at Pennfield varsity girls and boys basketball doubleheader was postponed until next Saturday, January 20. The girls game will start at 11:00 a.m. that day with the boys game to follow at 12:30 p.m.
The Quincy girls basketball game at Maple Valley was postponed until Tuesday, January 16.
Friday’s Union City girls basketball game at home against Reading was cancelled. No make up date was announced.
Friday’s Bronson girls basketball game at Springport was postponed until Thursday, January 25.
Friday’s Bronson Bowling Invitational at the Strike Zone was postponed until Friday, February 2.
Saturday’s Clark Walker wrestling tournament in Bronson has been cancelled. Coldwater was among those scheduled to compete in the meet.
Union City’s wrestling team was scheduled to compete at the Battle Creek All-City Tournament Saturday at Harper Creek, but the meet has been cancelled.
Quincy’s wrestling team was scheduled to compete at the Dansville Aggies Invitational but the meet was cancelled.
The Coldwater boys swimming and diving team was scheduled to compete at the Jackson Invitational on Saturday but that meet has been cancelled.
The Bronson competitive cheer team was scheduled to compete at the Hillsdale Invitational on Saturday but the meet has been postponed until Saturday, January 20.
