COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With brutal temperatures expected for this weekend and most of the week ahead, the Coach Eby Youth and Family Center is opening its doors as an emergency warming center.
The warming center will open Saturday at 8:00 p.m.and continue through noon Wednesday, January 17.
The wmergency warming center will be open 24 hours a day. Cots and blankets will be available to sleep at night and meals will be provided.
Center officials say they need volunteers to staff the emergency warming center and be of assistance to those that arrive. Volunteers will be needed during all hours, day and night.
All volunteers will need to complete a background check that can be run on the spot.

The center is also asking for gift cards to local grocery stores to purchase food, beverage, toiletry and paper supplies.
