COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinal bowlers split with the Hastings Saxons on Thursday afternoon at Midway Lanes.
Coldwater won the Girls Varsity meet 24 to 6.
The Cardinals won both regular games 773 to 595 and 705 to 637, taking totals 1478 to 1232.
They split the Baker games , winning game one 150 to 107, losing game two 111 to 140, taking totals 261 to 247.
The girls were led by Lily Cook with a 192 and a 188, and Ema Shidler with a 181.
The Coldwater Varsity Boys had a very competitive meet which ended in a 15 to 15 tie. The Saxons won the match on the tie breaker 225-170.
Coldwater lost both regular games 800 to 790, and 775 to 771, losing totals by 14 pins 1575 to 1561.
The Cardinals came back in the Baker games winning both, 166 to 164 and 134 to 111, taking totals to earn the tie.
Coldwater was led by Owen Blackman with a 173 and Kameron Corwin with a 167.
The JV’s bowled a split squad and were beaten 21 to 9
