BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Seven Coldwater wrestlers placed on Saturday at the Grass Lake Invite. Earning third place finishes were Yahya Umari at 106 and Tre Miller at 157. Finishing fifth were Dayton Miller at 144 and Kayden Roby at 175. Finishing sixth were Umari Umari at 120, Gage Fuller at 165 and Raul Cecilo.
The Quincy Wrestlers also competed at Grass Lake and finished in fourth place, tied with Jackson out of a field of 19 teams. Seven out of the 14 wrestlers competing walked away with individual medals. Micha Paul finished the day as the champion at 150 pounds. Chayse Jensen was second at 120. Landon Bearden finished third at 165. Grayson Laney finished fourth in the 150 pound weight class. Caleb Rose and Xavier Fulbright finished fifth in their weight classes. Jackson Preston finished with a sixth at 175.
Bronson was fourth out of 19 teams at the Bill Evans-Jeff McGinnis Battle Creek Central Memorial Wrestling Invitational on Saturday.
