COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Coalition Against Domestic Violence will be celebrating 34 years of service during an open house Wednesday.
It will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Naomi Davis Shelterhouse on North Michigan Avenue.
They will be showing off their new playground during the open house.
Despite some foul weather, the Coalition’s Kim Hemker said a large number of volunteers showed up to build the playground last Friday and Saturday.
The project at the Shelterhouse was spearheaded by the Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary Club and the building of the playground was launched through the generosity of the late Hal Creal, one of the founders of the Club thirty years ago.
The Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce will be holding their After Business Hours at the same time.
Due to limited parking, shuttle vans will be available from Michigan Works!
